Boys Visit Santa

We took the boys to visit Santa at the mall yesterday. Both boys did very well. We were worried about Jacob getting freaked out and crying like he did the last time we took him to Santa, and we were worried about Owen just being too squirmy. But it turns out we had nothing to worry about, as both boys did very well.

Family Visit

We had the Treadway side of the family come up to the cold, windy, snowy Chicago area at Thanksgiving time this year. It was great to see them all, and it was so fun have Jacob and Owen together with their cousin Jeremy!



We got some snow that week and Jacob was ready to trudge out into it to play! He was a little hesitant at first, and was being very careful not to fall down. But after a little time out in the cold, and some time riding in his sled (thanks to yours truly, Dad, pulling him around the yard) he was ready to get out and play. He decided he had to give Eeyore a ride in the sled!


On the day after Thanksgiving we all packed up in the car and drove into Chicago for the big Christkindlmarket.
It was fun to walk around the Marshall Field's State Street store to look at their Christmas windows (this year's theme is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves), and then we headed to the Market for some good, authentic German food, and shopping. It was a lot of fun.
